Jennifer Aniston has a great body, and everybody knows that. In January 2009 she graced the cover of GQ Magazine nude, and that just made more women envy her. But unlike what a lot of people probably think, Jennifer is just like us; she is just a regular person who diets and works out. Most celebrities and personalities also struggle to lose weight. And Jennifer works hard and eats right to maintain her body.

It has been said that Jennifer loves to eat salads. Even in restaurants, such as Sunset Tower in Los Angeles and Waverly Inn in New York City, she makes sure she is eating healthy. She orders baby green vegetables and grilled chicken paillard in Sunset Tower, and these are great for a balanced diet.

Jen has admitted that she maintains her figure by following the Zone Diet. The Zone Diet advocates consuming calories on a 40:30:30 ratio, which is 40 percent low glycemic carbohydrates, 30 percent lean proteins, and 30 percent essential fats. Low glycemic carbohydrates include fruits, vegetables, and legumes. Lean proteins are chicken, fish, beef, and turkey. Processed meat is a definite no-no in this diet, such as burgers and sausages. And lastly, essential fats are olive oil, seeds, and nuts. Other celebrities who have followed the Zone Diet include Renee Zellweger, Cindy Crawford, and Tom Cruise. And the Zone Diet works, as we can all see with Jennifer’s slim figure.

But it is not just the diet that’s important to Jen. Jennifer also works out four to five times a week. About three times a week she does yoga with her private yoga instructor. Yoga is perfect for flexing and strengthening your muscles. Before doing yoga, Jennifer runs on the treadmill for about 20 minutes for warm-up. She also likes using the elliptical trainer to work out. Doing cardio and lifting weights helps increase metabolism, so whenever Jen gains weight it is easier and faster for her to lose them.

Though Jennifer Aniston has not openly discussed her diet secrets, it has been said that she credits the Zone Diet for her healthy mind and body. It was also said that yoga helps her meditate and relax during stressful times. Jennifer Aniston definitely lives a healthy life with her choices in food and her ways to keep fit.
